The Ministry of Rural Development, GOI has launched the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) as a flagship rural development program.  The objective of this Mission is to eliminate rural poverty through innovative social mobilization and financial and economic inclusion strategies. The mission is to be implemented in the states through a dedicated mission unit called State Rural Livelihoods Mission (SRLM).

The Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission (UPSRLM), under the aegis of Rural Development Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh is an autonomous society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 which was formed in November 2011. UPSRLM’s mandate is to implement the National Rural Livelihood Mission/Project (NRLM/P) in Uttar Pradesh, which aims at creating efficient and effective institutional platforms of the rural poor enabling them to increase household income through sustainable livelihood enhancements and improved access to financial services. To attain these objectives, UPSRLM intends to engage a full time dedicated team of professionals, through a Human Resource Management Agency, to implement NRLM activities at the state level. This set of professionals is expected to act as a team and in collaboration with other members, lay the foundation for successful implementation of the Mission objectives in the state. It will also act as a resource team and guide the future NRLM expansion in the state. This will be possible only when a quality professional team is hired through a meticulously designed recruitment and selection method which would be done by a separate professional agency /directly by UPSRLM.

Applications are invited from interested candidates for the following vacancies. The candidates finally selected would be placed on the rolls of a Human Resource Management Agency for a period of one year, extendable further based on the performance and requirements of UPSRLM.

  • UPSRLM reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of positions without any prior information. UPSRLM may at its discretion cancel/modify/amend the process at any time.
  • All selected professionals will be on the roll of HumanResource Management Agency (Service Provider), but will provide their services to UPSRLM on a full time basis.
  • Candidates are advised to read the eligibility criteria carefully before applying for any vacancy.
  • Candidates can apply ONLY FOR ANY ONE POSITION. Applications for multiple positions may result in disqualification of the candidate.
  • The list of candidates provisionally shortlisted to appear for the selection process would be published on the same website (www.sids.co.in/upsrlm). List of all candidates who do not meet the prescribed eligibility criteria for the position and hence not shortlisted would also be published on the same website along with the reason for not being shortlisted. Candidates are advised to check the website for further updates regularly.

SELECTION PROCESS

  1. All candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria for the position would be provisionally shortlisted to appear for the written test. The written test would be a multiple choice objective test comprising questions from the domain/ position for which the candidate has applied, IQ , general awareness about development programmes and computer knowledge. The written test would carry a weightage of 40 marks
  2. Based on the scores obtained by the candidates in the written test, and their educational qualifications (weightage - 40 marks), candidates would be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:5 (as per the category wise vacancies) to appear for the next round of selection. The next round of selection would comprise of a village immersion programme (weightage -  10 marks), and Interview (weightage -  10 marks) .
  3. Based on the scores obtained in all the tests, a position wise, category wise final merit list would be prepared.
