We are looking for a mission-focused, seasoned, strategic, and process-minded leader with an experience of leading projects and project teams and delivering measurable, cost effective results that makes the project’s vision a reality. The candidate will be overall managing the project that is focussing on enahancing farm income and secure livelihoods through landscape restoration and creating agri value chain with a focus on agroforestry in 7 districts of MP and CG
Position: Project Manager
Reporting to: While the candidate is expected to work independently, he/she will be working closely with the top management of the organisation.
Location/Head Quarter: Candidate will be head quartered in Amlai in Anuppur district of M.P
Qualification : ASA is seeking a highly qualified candidate with high levels of compassion and empathy for small and marginal farmers. Qualifications include Post-graduation in Rural Management/ Natural Resource Management/ Diploma in Forestry management/ Social Sciences/ Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Agribusiness/ General Management or any other related field.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience is expected in development sector out of which minimum 5 years in a leadership position particularly engaged in tree plantations and orchards development program.
Skills & Competencies required:
• Strong program implementation and management skills including strategic planning and work plan development with a strong focus on maintaining quality across project milestones.
• Strong orientation for long term vision achievement along with annual and quarterly milestone achievement.
• Engaging and handholding of field level staff.
• Skilled at interacting and developing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Sound knowledge about budget and finance
• Proficiency in English with a working knowledge of Hindi.
• Proficiency in computers (Ms Office, Excel and power point, etc)
Job Profile:
• This position is expected to lead the project independently and hence it is a senior level leadership position.
• Leading a multi-thematic team of professionals in the areas of natural resources, agro-forestry, horticulture, agriculture, agribusiness, livestock, enterprises, education, skill development, etc. along with support departments like accounts, monitoring, evaluation and learning, reporting and administration.
• Liaise with donors and government departments and interact with field staff and community members.
• Budget management and new resource mobilization.
• Capacity building of the team and prepare senior team members towards new challenges and new geographies.
• Integration of all programs and projects of ASA to achieve maximum impact at household level.
• Ensuring timely submission of all reports to donors and ASA head office.
• Develop conceptual clarity of the organization vision, mission & objectives to team on long term development issues and ensuring the peoples participation in programs
• Provide overall administration support to teams.
