Job Purpose

RF-BIJ is a program being implemented by Reliance Foundation under its Rural Transformation initiative across 45 districts in India. RF-BIJ will comprise of three key interventions centered on – (i) Climate Resilience (CR4SD), (ii) Integrated Value Chains (IVCD) and (iii) Diversifying rural incomes & Women Entrepreneurship via agri-allied and non-farm sectors (DRIWE).

 This role will contribute to RF-BIJ’s research activities. The role will specifically provide documentation and communication support, and help enhance existing documentation by analyzing program data. This would include collecting, organizing, processing and analyzing data from the program, generate inferences on program implementation processes, progress and impact. This position would be expected to generate high quality research, papers and progress reports for external and internal stakeholders. Additionally, this position will also nurture partnerships and collaborations for joint research, studies, publications and deployment of technology for better data and knowledge management .

Programme Delivery Team Responsibilities

 • Conducts needs assessment and understand the challenges in achieving improved yield and adaptation of improved practices

• Enrol additional new users

• Update the profile for the current users

• Support in conducting baseline surveys

• Networks and Partnerships –Knowledge Partners / Grassroots Partners -Leverage their expertise, services, training capacities, schemes and user network

• Develops “Locally Customized and Situationally Responsive” interventions / phygitalservice for improvement in yield / management practices

• Implement the programmes in alignment with annual operating plans that is cost-effective, innovative and outcome driven

• Query management through various help line services (Toll Free, YouTube, WhatsApp)

• Document and analyse all the queries –thematic wise / region wise and provide inputs to the programme delivery team (field support team) to improve the program execution and content production & management

• Support in conducting surveys for specific interventions

• Carry out various special assignments

Educational Qualification and Relevant Experience

Educational Qualification

Post Graduate in Sociology / Social Work / Development Administration / Agriculture / Fisheries / Veterinary sciences or Rural Development / Management

Experience             

O Minimum 2 years of experience in working with Development Sector (especially in rural areas)

O Skill set for mobilizing communities and understand the livelihood issues

o Able to converse with the rural community in the local language in understandable and simple manner

o Knowledge on the rural dynamics and social organizations

 

 

Other Requirement

O Experience in working in the rural livelihoods sector

O Experience in working with multi-stakeholder partnerships -Capacity to build and maintain cordial relationship with Government Departments, Universities, KVKs, Research Institutions to extend their advisories and expertise

O Fair knowledge about computer operations particularly in MS word, excel, online forms ability to handle various digital platforms to reach communities and increase the programmeengagements

O Fair knowledge in preparing reports in English

o Fair knowledge in actionable research

o Fair knowledge in various ICT-enabled development programmes/ projects –regional / national / international
