Project Assistant, District Level Team – Empowering Women Entrepreneurs Project

Position overview:

Reliance Foundation & Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation have launched a project to empower aspiring women entrepreneurs, both individual as well as part of SHGs/SHG Federations, by creating a conducive environment for them to participate in local economic development proactively. The RF – BMGF collaboration will contribute to recently announced goal by MoRD, GoI to enable rural SHG women to earn at least Rs.1 lakh annual income. The project will drive women-led enterprise development in identified districts, supported by State Rural Livelihood Missions and field implementation agencies in three states over four years.

The district-level team will be responsible for day-to-day co-ordination with the Field Implementation Agencies and the district unit of the respective SRLM for project implementation on ground.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Support District Coordinator in program implementation and documentation

·         Compile regular reports and MIS

·         Identify and document best practices

·         Scout for new ideas and technologies and pilot testing

·         Support SHGs and Cluster Level Federations, Farmer Producer Organizations in business planning, marketing, branding and statutory compliances

·       Providing support in qualitative analysis, literature reviews, statistical analysis, indicator review, collecting and analysing data, coordinating with various stakeholders, external consultants

 

 

Personal Qualifications and experience:

Must haves / Essential:

·         Graduate in social work / Sciences, Rural Management, Agriculture and other relevant fields from reputed institutions

 

Preferred:

·         About 2 to 5 years of experience in development sector

 

Key Competencies:

·         Good written and oral communication skills.

·         Competency in word processing, spreadsheets, database use, and presentation software (Microsoft Office)

·         Excellent interpersonal skills

·         Well-organized, attentive to detail, skilled in setting priorities and meeting deadlines, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

·         Works well independently and in teams; pro-active in anticipating work requirements and problem solving
