Project In-Charge (Ensuring basic entitlements reaching the last mile)
The position is based at Ahmedabad.
The project activities are primarily in two field locations of Gujarat – Poshina in Sabarkantha District and Bhachau in Kutch District.
Each field location has four staff. The field in charges are experienced and having degree from reputed institutions. Other programs are also running in this area.
The candidate needs to have:
1. Exposure to social movements and advocacy processes that led to the enactment of MGNREGA, NFSA, RTI, etc.
2. Familiar with social accountability methods like social audit, Jan Sunvai, Community Based Monitoring, and others.
3. Experience in leading a team.
4. Experience of interfacing with government and its institutions.
Job Description:
i. The program in-charge has to support the field team by jointly exploring / conducting actions at the field level in improving access to public programs related to Roji, Roti and Samajik Suraksha.
ii. Identify field level issues/bottlenecks and find solutions through consultative and participatory process.
iii. Represent the issues at various level of administration (Block, District and State) for timely redressal.
iv. Develop, design and organize capacity development programs for ‘Citizen Leaders’ who are instrumental for the success of the program along with the team
v. Motivate and inspire to build a culture where by people fearlessly articulate their issues and represent in an organized manner for redressal.
vi. Review, plan and maintain MIS to achieve effectiveness and efficiency and report in both quantitative and qualitative methods.
vii. Link up with organisations engaged on social accountability and involve the staff and self for documentation and learning.
viii.Develop additional projects that could strengthen the process of access to entitlements.
